Our History

Our MD James Horan has been involved in the steel fabrication, design and installation business his whole life. After completing a four year apprenticeship in steel fabrication, James went on to study mechanical engineering. This led to him working in New York for a leading telecommunications giant overseeing the production and installation of the new wave of cell phone towers. His return to London is where the journey into the world of security began. He was recruited to oversee the production and installation of steel security doors for the HMS Prison service. This then led to being taken on by a steel security door company called Multisecure, where he oversaw all aspects of production. James ended up buying the company, and the rest as they say is history.

Who we are

James went onto start Multisteel Ltd a family owned Security company in 2002 with his brother Terry Horan. Since inception in 2002, James has been driven by the desire to give his clients the best products and services possible. This started with him designing a patented steel security door system that used the highest quality Jansen Steel from Switzerland, alongside steel from Italy and the UK. This drive and passion helped win work throughout London and the South East, working for local authorities, housing associations, Tier 1 & 2 contractors, government contracts within the prison and police force, along with public clients including Deutsche Bank and McClaren Racing. To take the company onto its next stage of evolution, James & Terry bought the new offices and warehouse in Harrow London in 2015, this move gave the company the space and scope for the growth that they wanted.

Our Future

Working alongside our longstanding management, production and site teams, Multisteel is now evolving into one of London’s most established and capable security companies, covering so many of our clients security needs, we are fast becoming the go to company for our existing and new clients, due to our ability to offer a turnkey service. James and Terry’s vision is to make Multisteel not only the top security company in London, but in the UK.
